Mom, Look Before You Vent: Little Ears Are Always Listening!

A playgroup could be your best opportunity to interact with other adults. This interaction boosts your social esteem, and it’s a great way to get advice from other mothers and fathers. But be careful. Your venting about difficult parenting issues could be overheard by little ones who don’t understand their behavior is not tied to how much you love them.

Get one-on-one time with a friend so you can talk about those things. If you can’t snatch private time at playgroup, schedule a moms-only date, where you can get out of the house and talk without caution.
